Inspection

Inspection services deliver peace of mind by protecting your brand, your company’s reputation, and your consumers. Intertek offers a wide range of different inspections: before and during production as well as before and after shipment.

Through on-site inspections we determine if your merchandise meets specific requirements, such as industry or government regulations or any explicit guidelines you have requested. In particular, we will help you:

  • minimise the amount of defective merchandise
  • reduce customer complaints due to inferior products
  • detect merchandise containing non-standard or non-compliant components
  • eliminate late shipments


Local service globally

We offer inspection services around the world, with particular concentration in Asia. Through Intertek’s global network of offices, laboratories and industry experts we are able to provide extensive coverage in China, as well as Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Our inspectors are fully trained and equipped with the capability to inspect a large variety of electrical consumer products. We are also the first Inspection Body (Type A) accredited by HKAS (Hong Kong Accreditation Service) according to ISO/IEC 17020. Inspections will typically entail visual and manual examination for criteria such as:
