Type Test Certification

…..why you should have it for your product

Type test product certification provides an independent test certificate on the compliance of one or a number of samples when tested against the requirements of the product standard. It can be used for supporting technical files related to CE Marking of products. It does not provide any qualification about the production processes involved or the compliance of any products other than those that were tested. In some markets product certification may be sufficient to satisfy the legislative or commercial requirements but in others, particularly where the safety and compliance of mass-produced products is concerned additional guarantees are required.

Testing by an Intertek or Intertek Accredited Laboratory providing product certification is not sufficient in itself to obtain a prestigious ASTA Licence to allow the product to bear the coveted ASTA 'Diamond' Mark.
