Factory Inspection (CIG Type)

Factory inspection is an important element of the BEAB Approved product scheme. Inspections are carried out annually at each factory where BEAB Approved products are manufactured. However, any factory that manufactures products within the scope of BEAB Approval may apply for factory approval, even if no BEAB Approved products are manufactured there.

The main benefit of this scheme to factories is that it offers competitive advantage when applicants are seeking factories in which to manufacture their products.

Application for stand alone approval is made by the factory directly. The scope of the approval covers a range of products rather than specific approved models.

Applicable factories:

• Factories that manufactured BEAB Approved products previously, but no longer do so.
• Factories that wish to be available to ASTA BEAB applicants as a manufacturing location quickly.
• Factories that wish to demonstrate to potential applicants that they are capable of fulfilling the requirements for the manufacture of BEAB Approved products.
